Found A Place. Finally.

So we finally found a place, I got the keys on the 21st. It's a condo a few mins from the Strip. It's cool. Needed a few fixtures which we are working on now. But despite all, the place is pretty nice. I will see if I can put some pics up soon.

We've been moving stuff out since the 22nd. And I have a moving company coming this morning to move all the large stuff...the couches, big screen, beds, etc. I'm going to try to have all that done by 11:00 am, since I have a doc's appointment around 11:20...we'll see what happens.

I stayed out to late last nite parlayin' w/ a co-worker. Unplanned parlayin that is...lol...so I'm kind of tired this morning w/ a long day ahead. But what will be, will be...I will just keep pushing and get as much done as I can. I scheduled to take off work Wednesday and Thursday, and will be back Friday. I'm going to try to get everything done by Friday so that I can leave town for Labor Day weekend Friday evening/Saturday morning. I plan to go to Sacramento to visit the sis...then most likely we will drive up to the Bay and spend the whole weekend there. My fave place to go.

So...With a prayer and a miracle I'm sure things will get done prior to me leaving. LOL

Short Post.

I'm suppose to be going out tonite. But I so dont want to go. *ah* Call it lazy I guess.

Went and bought Boondocks Season 2 a few days ago. I didn't even realize it was out. How appalling. lol

I missed the track and field on the Olympics today...how appalling (again). Especially waiting on the 4 X 100.


Edit: Finally saw the women's 100 meters. Shelly-Ann Frazer is so cute with her braces. Damn...Torri Edwards got dead last...poor thing.

Ok, I shall return.

Yesterday was my birthday. I turned 28. Wow 28 years young. Can't believe it. I'm really inching towards 30 now, huh? :)

But check this - all day, all everyone kept saying was..."Oh, it's your birthday, you're 28? Wow, you're old". I just smiled at them and said..."nah, not really, I feel great actually, and that's not old!". Can you believe that? Woooow. So, I guess 28 is the new "old" huh? Why didn't anyone inform me of this? lol

And then people have the nerve to wonder why a good bit of folks out there are MAD insecure about their age. If people kept telling me that I'm old at 28 (all day, I mind you), just imagine what they say to a person who is turning 38, 48, or 58. Wow, people are funny these days.

Anyway, I didnt do much yesterday. But I'm going to *try* to celebrate this weekend in some form. Maybe I'll take a trip to the bay and go all out up there. My sis called me and said that she has some free buddy passes to fly. My money is funny right now, especially since I'm preparing to move, so for the past few weeks I've no longer been planning *fun* things to do anymore. I'm probably going to have to spend my Rock The Bells ticket money on the new place and on paying some bills...but, oh well. Gotta do what I gotta do.

New place? Uh, yea. We *might* have a place. I dont wanna bet on it, but we received a few call backs...*blaaaah* anyway, I'll tell more about it later because I gotta go...
